Dr. Amit Bhardwaj is a biotechnology researcher and founder of Lithmo Technologies. His background spans biological research, laboratory workflows, computational biology, and automation-led product development, with research experience across India and the United States.
Why Lithmo was started
Lithmo was started to address a practical gap in Indian laboratories: many labs need automation, but available systems are often expensive, imported, and not always accessible to smaller institutions, early-stage labs, and price-sensitive research environments.
Current development stage
Lithmo is beyond the ideation stage and is currently at the proof-of-concept / prototype-development stage.
Validated foundation
Control electronics and motor actuation have been validated, establishing the motion-control foundation needed for the liquid-handling platform.
Prototype under construction
The integrated liquid-handling prototype is under construction, including mechanical assembly, pipette positioning, and software-controlled workflow development.
Working toward MVP
The next milestone is a functional integrated MVP suitable for demonstration, refinement, pilot workflow discussions, and grant-supported product development.
